The little rose inside of the clear globe is created by placing a single high beam light through the glass globe, resulting in the words “I love you” being engraved into that same spot at the exact same time. It gives the impression of a much three dimensional shapes instead of being flat; therefore there appears to be depth to the engraved words where there actually isn’t. The different way that light travels through the engraved letters and rose due to each marking that is placed within the material gives them an “magical” quality when they really reflect the craftsmanship of the creator through exactness in layering of shadows and/or shapes.

The use of premium K9 crystal allows for extremely clarity/luminosity to be exhibited. Since the crystal is of superior quality, the rays of light travel without being scattered giving a sharper definition to all lines formed within the 3D carving process. From the crystal only, it is easy for one to see the clear visibility of engraved letters such as “love”. Each letter reflects how light passes through the interior of the crystal (or material); therefore each perspectively identifiable mark within the entire crystal acts as if the 3D carving was originally created for that exact perspective when viewed through this glass-like component.

The base support consists of a single solid piece of natural (real wood) timber, which contains small (LED) lights within its interior that produces a warm glow and gently fans out the grain patterns up to the surface where the crystal above is located, therefore creating a gentle warm illumination to the entire piece. The lights provide enough illumination to draw the eye toward the crystal above while also filtering the lights through the natural wood, which allows the illuminated grain patterns to continue into and above the crystal; this will create a steady surface on which to rest the crystal.
